We are so lucky to say that our jobs take us anywhere and everywhere. Like seriously – we get to meet the coolest couples and get to photograph is some of the coolest venues ever. We’re seriously so lucky and grateful. Cole and Tsali inquired with us back in the Fall of 2021 for us to capture their wedding vision. Of course, after hopping on our consultation call with them we were h-o-o-k-e-d. From that moment on, their wedding day was one we were looking forward to for a long long time. The day finally arrived and to say we were excited would be an understatement. This Midwest wedding at The Brix on The Fox was one that we will quite literally never get over.
The Brix on The Fox is a stellar Illinois wedding venue that was built back in the 1880s. The building is entirely made up of Haeger yellow brick, which adds to the significance of this incredibly unique space. Since its startup in 1880, this beautiful building has had several owners. One is that of an old condensed milk company – oooo exciting stuff people. Over the years the building’s exterior and interior began to deteriorate. It wasn’t until 2014 that this space had a massive makeover, bringing the original history and charm back to life. Now, The Brix on Fox is home to two separate wedding venues. Each is just as unique and special! Depending on which vibe you’re going for, they can make it happen!
These gorgeous venues can seat up to 300+ wedding guests and gives you the creative freedom to have the wedding of your dreams. They give you plenty of amenities like tables and chairs, a photo booth, a sound system, onsite parking, and more! Seriously, this is one of the most beautiful, unique, and well-put-together wedding venues we’ve been to. To see more information about The Brix on The Fox, just click here!
Cole and Tsali’s wedding was an absolute dream come true. We arrived at The Brix on The Fox late afternoon and were ready to get the party started. One thing about us is that we will always bring the party, you best believe that. We took a few portraits of Cole finalizing her wedding look before her first looks. She not only did a first look with her bridesmaids but also with her dad (brb crying). We absolutely love first looks and it’s one of our favorite moments on a wedding day.
After, it was time for the ceremony. Since Cole and Tsali chose to not do a first look, the first moment Tsali saw Cole was walking down the aisle. Cole and Tsali had their wedding ceremony in The Two-Sixty event space located inside The Brix on The Fox. Of course, Tsali wept as he saw his beautiful bride-to-be walk the aisle. However, keep in mind that not every partner will cry when they see you walking down the aisle. If that’s not who they are, don’t let that get you down when experiencing one of the most special moments of your life. The ceremony was a beautiful one and you could just feel the laughter and joy fill the room.
Shortly after, we took some time for indoor and outdoor portraits with the newlyweds along with their wedding party and family formals. Before long we transitioned into the reception where Cole and Tsali danced underneath the twinkling lights that hung above. A night filled with so much love and joy in celebrating these two committing their love to one another. It was definitely a beautiful sight to see and we are always so so grateful to witness these beautiful moments.
