One of the best parts of our jobs as Chicago Wedding Photographers is the fact that we get to travel all throughout the world capturing love. I mean if you ask us, that sounds like a pretty freakin’ cool job. Traveling has given us the chance to expand our horizons, learn about different cultures, and most importantly, feel inspired. Recently, we’ve been able to head to Tulum, Mexico where the bright blue crystal waters met with documenting a fabulous love story that left us in awe. Sarah and Micah looked absolutely killer for their Tulum Mexico Editorial Engagement Photos and we’ve got alllll the tea to spill.

Sarah & Micah’s Love Story

Micah and Sarah met all the way back in 2013 during their Freshman year at Liberty University. Upon meeting Micah was starstruck, however, according to his recollection Sarah… not so much. After many attempts to get together, it wasn’t until Micah’s fourth try that Sarah finally gave him a chance. Hey, the fourth time is the charm, right? It was from that point on that their connection only continued to grow. Through graduating college, and experiencing long distance, the two stood tall as they ventured off on this next step in their journey together.

It was then in 2017, when Micah proposed to Sarah surrounded by all of their friends and family to celebrate. It was a beautiful way to embrace their love, connection, and their next step towards forever.

Micah & Sarah’s Tulum Mexico Editorial Engagement Photos

Mexico is a destination location for a wide variety of reasons. Stunning beaches, and some of the best views in the entire world. Getting to fly out to Tulum, Mexico was an absolute dream come true, and getting to capture Sarah and Micah’s story was just the icing on top of the cake. For these Tulum Mexico editorial engagement photos we were wanting to keep things very casual, editorial, and fun. Speaking to Micah and Sarah’s personalities, of course. At Radhoo Tulum they had this gorgeous pool area surrounded by tons of greenery. Tulum, Mexico is obviously known for its amazing, warm, and humid weather so having a poolside engagement shoot was exactly what the doctor ordered.

If you want to head off to Tulum, Mexico for some more editorial-style engagement photos, then we highly recommend doing a bit of research prior to your arrival. Make sure that you pack all of the necessary clothing items (with backup options) and solidify where you’re going to want to take your engagement photos. All of the prep before your trip will make sure that your Tulum Mexico engagement photos turn out just as bad a** and epic as Micah and Sarah’s.
