The Gage Wisconsin Spring Wedding

Love stories are created in all sorts of ways. Trust me when I say that it can be in the most unexpected moments that you are presented with an opportunity to completely change your life. Hell, to meet your legit soulmate! Autumn and Joe were two strangers who, with some mutual connection, were able to find their way to each other. Now they’re tying the knot… talk about a complete turn of events huh! Autumn and Joe are the kind of couple whose love just radiates off of them, quite literally. Keep scrolling to read about Autumn and Joe’s The Gage Wisconsin Spring Wedding.

The Beginning of A Love Story

Autumn and Joe’s love connection officially started when they were introduced by Joe’s sister, Kelsey. At the time, Autumn and Kelsey were working together and felt it would be great to introduce Autumn to her brother! It wasn’t until a work party at a local bar that Autumn and Joe were to officially meet. Believe it or not Autumn was the one who slid into the DM’s after their initial meeting. We love that! Since Joe lived in a different part of Illinois at the time, if it weren’t for his sister they probably would have never met. It was as if the stars were aligning and destiny was for these two to meet. Since then their love has only continued to flourish and grow into the beautiful story it is today.

Getting Ready

wedding ring details

Autumn and Joe both got ready in their hotel rooms the morning of their wedding day. It was a beautiful day as they were surrounded by loved ones as they anticipated the excitement of the day ahead. Typically as soon as we arrive, we immediately begin working on detail shots which are some of my favorites! Detail photos can include items like your veil, perfume or cologne, invitation suite, shoes, etc. We recommend always having these items prepped and ready to go the day before your wedding so as soon as we arrive we begin shooting!

Shortly after, it was time for us to make our way over to the venue for Autumn & Joe’s day to officially take off.

The Gage // Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The Gage is an industrial unique yet modern wedding venue located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Featuring classic city brick, this beautiful event space is a whopping 7,000 square feet that can fix up to 300 guests. This is between their main floor and loft space located on the property. You are met with a beautiful skylight, getting-ready suites as well as tons of amenities for any kind of couple.

The Gage has a plethora of amenities included when you book your wedding at this Milwaukee wedding venue. Some of those include patio cafe lighting, indoor ceremony options, audio equipment, bar staff, ADA accessibility, and more. To view more of the amenities available at The Gage, just click here!

First Look(s)

Now when people think of first looks, they think that they can completely “ruin” the moment. WRONG! In fact, we LOVE first looks so much that we’re right there by your side wiping the tears off your cheek. Hey, they don’t call us the ultimate hype duo for nothing! First looks go far beyond just seeing your partner before the ceremony. They give you an opportunity for privacy and intimacy on a rather hectic and crazy day. It’s a chance to really create once-in-a-lifetime memories, ones you look back on and are so thankful that you did. First looks aren’t just for you and your partner, but can be for a parent/guardian or your wedding party!

As for this wedding day, Autumn decided to have two first looks. One with her dad and one with her soon-to-be hubby, Joe. Let’s just say that the waterworks came and went and tears were definitely shed. We’re telling you, don’t skimp out on first looks just because you think it may ruin your ceremony moment. 9/10 you will still feel those butterflies walking down the aisle.

The Gage Wisconsin Spring Wedding

After their first look, it was time for us to soak up the beauty of the venue with some portraits. We wandered throughout this gorgeous Wisconsin wedding venue as we admired the beautiful decor, stunning lighting, and of course our beautiful models/couple.

Spring Wedding Ceremony // The Gage

The Gage had their ceremony space perfectly made up and it really gave off that beautiful industrial urban type city vibes. While a lot of Wisconsin wedding venues aim for this sort of look for their wedding venues, The Gage really did this one well. Surrounded by all of their close family & friends, Autumn & Joe exchanged vows and were officially newlyweds – woohoo!!!!

Wedding Reception

We spent the remainder of the night dancing our socks off, enjoying some BOMB food, shoutout to Double Bs BBQ, and again witnessing some tear-jerking first dance moments. It was the perfect end to an absolutely perfect day with Autumn and Joe for their The Gage Wisconsin Spring Wedding.

Not only were able to document their entire day through photos, but we were video covering the entire thing too! To check out their highlight film, click here!
